What's on in Keswick

Keswick is truly the Heart of the Lake District and Derwentwater the most picuresque of all the lakes; with all its surrounding mountains there is no better sight to be seen. If you are walking the fells or strolling around the lake you will see the most breathtaking views.

Farmers Market in Keswick

Activities available in Keswick include fellwalking, windsurfing, horse riding, rock climbing, sailing, fishing, canoing, cycling and golf. If you want something less active, then you can ride the launch around Derwentwater, or feed the ducks on the lakeshore. You will also find beautiful parks in which to sit and relax, or museums, art galleries and shops to browse

In the evening there is excellent entertainment to be seen at the Theatre by the Lake or the Alhambra Cinema, and live music in cafébars, pubs and clubs, or just relax over a meal in one of Keswick's many restaurants.
We are Ambassadors for the Theatre by the Lake and are able to offer our guests discount vouchers for use when booking tickets.

If you want to travel a little further afield, then this is an excellent base from which to visit the whole of the Lake District or the historic Cumbrian coast. The north Pennines and Hadrians Wall is about an hour away, as is the western Yorkshire Dales.
